It’s Time to Meet the New You: The Bold, Confident and Fierce You
Typically, this time of year places most people in the mood to reflect upon life, set goals, declare positive affirmations and make life-altering changes. While this process is normally a personal task, I ask that you allow me to help you. In fact, let’s make a pact...Together, you and I will reflect upon our lives, not to relive, redo or regret anything, but to identify patterns and habits, assess our beliefs and values, pick up missed lessons and determine our next steps. See, what we will do is use past experiences as fuel for the future. We will pursue that Bold, Confident and Fierce you whose identify and being is fully anchored in Christ and empower you to live life to the fullest!
But before we start, let me warn you that this is not an easy task. It is a journey that will require your commitment to do the work: the digging, the thinking, the reflecting, the writing, the planning, the dreaming, the crying and the praying. Yes, I said crying and praying!
This journey will challenge you, as you will reflect on life, decide what area(s) needs to be addressed and adjusted, and, then, decide on a new path and co-create a plan to accomplish it. That’s a lot, isn’t it? But, let me explain.
You see, Scripture tells us, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then, you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his, good, pleasing and perfect will” (Romans 12:2). To boldly and confidently live the abundant life God has promised to us, we must:
Decide to no longer be a follower of society’s norms and expectation. This includes society’s desires, thoughts, values, beliefs, and actions
Study the Bible and develop a consistent prayer life so that ill-founded and non-serving habits, patterns, desires, beliefs, values and actions are replaced with those aligned to God’s word. In other words, “renovate” your state of being.
Seek God’s will for your life through your study and prayer
Decide to take action towards fulfilling God’s will
Although I reduced this process into a few steps, you will find it to be a rich and worthwhile journey to discovering the Bold, Confident and Fierce You! The authentic you...the you who was fearfully and wonderfully made and created in the very image of God.
I ask that you join me in this quest by visiting my webpage at www.bridgettebrown.com. Seek with heightened anticipation and be vigilant in your efforts as we embark upon this journey of self-discovery, self-belief and self-love.
I look forward to finally meeting the re-NEW-ed you!
Blessings!
